Lamb's recipe with artichokes

  • Lamb - 4 Kilogram
  • Artichokes - 2 Kilogram
  • Lemon - 3 Pieces
  • Olive oil - 1 glass
  • Salt, pepper - - To taste

First we clean artichokes. They should be the same as in the photo. In a large baking tray, pour out about 2/3 of a glass of olive oil and lay the lamb chopped into portions. We squeeze on the lamb juice of three lemons, salt, pepper and mix. We cover the baking tray with foil and send it to the oven for 1 hour. The oven should be approximately 220 degrees. In Crete, it looks like this: only home furnaces are used there, but with a great desire, you can try to prepare a dish in the kitchen oven. While lamb in the oven, we are engaged in artichokes. Cleaned artichokes sprinkled with lemon juice, pour 1/3 cup of olive oil, add salt and pepper. When lamb has already stood for one hour in the oven, we take it out, add artichokes to it along with the lemon juice, add a little (half a glass) of warm water to the baking sheet, cover with foil and stew for another hour and a half in the oven at the same temperature. Serve lamb with artichokes best with olives and rakia. Aah, how appetizing everything looks in the picture, already drooling :)
