Recipe for Eastern Pumpkin Sweets
- Pumpkin variety "honey" or "chestnut" - 0.5 Kilogram
- Sugar - 1 glass (based on a half glass of 6-8 pieces of pumpkin)
- Crushed walnuts or any other nuts - 0,5 Cups
We clean the pumpkin from the peel, remove the seeds andCut into small slices, having a thickness of 2-3 cm. Put the pieces of pumpkin on the bottom of the pan and fill it with a small layer of water (so that the water only slightly covers the pumpkin). Add sugar - about 100gr of sugar for 6 small pieces of pumpkin, the amount of sugar can vary depending on taste. Cook the pumpkin on low heat for 20-30 minutes until soft. It is important to ensure that the pumpkin does not boil and become a mashed potatoes. We grind walnuts. When the pumpkin is cooked, cool it and sprinkle it with chopped walnuts and send it to the fridge for 20 minutes.
