Recipe for Kissel from Cherry
- Cherries without pits - 400 Grams
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Starch - 2,5 st. Spoons
- Water - 2.5 liters
For the preparation of cherry jelly are necessary -Sugar, water, starch and cherries. Cherries need to be washed, cleaned from debris, cleaned of the pedicels and picking bones from berries. The second step is the longest, since cherries need to be covered with sugar and leave to infuse for several hours, so that the cherry will give juice. To accelerate the process, stir the berries. After the cherries are given enough juice, pour it into a separate bowl. Next, you need to put a pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add boiled cherries and boil for 3-4 minutes. Further reduce the heat and add the previously obtained juice from the cherries to the pan. While cherries are being cooked, it is necessary to dilute the starch in warm water (better - room temperature). Strain, so that there are no lumps and pour a thin, continuous stream into the boiling kissel. It is important to stir the contents. Boil on a small fire for about 2-3 minutes and remove from heat.
