Recipe Buns with apples and Cheddar cheese

  • Apples - 2 pieces (450 g)

  • Cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup
  • Fatty cream - 1/4 cup
  • Eggs - 2 pieces

1. Cool the butter and cut into cubes. Place the pan on the center rack and heat the oven to 190 degrees. Line the baking tray with parchment paper. Peel the apples from the peel and cut each into 16 slices. Place them in one layer on a baking tray and bake until they are dry to the touch, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool. 2. Sift the flour and mix with sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside. 3. Place the oil in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer with chilled apples, chopped cheese, cream and 1 egg. Add flour mix and mix at low speed. 4. Sprinkle the working surface with flour and roll the dough into a circle with a diameter of 15 cm 3 cm thick. Cut the circle into 6 slices. Put them on a baking sheet with parchment paper at a distance of 5 cm from each other. 5. Beat the remaining egg in a small bowl with a pinch of salt. Lubricate the buns and sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Buns are best done on the day of baking. However, they can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Then grease them with eggs, sprinkle with sugar and bake. Thus, you will always have fresh buns when you want.
