Recipe Danish bread rolls with marzipan and jam

  • Softened cream cheese - 120 grams
  • Marzipan or almond paste - 1/4 Cup

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees with the rack in the lower third. Line the baking tray with parchment paper. Mix together the cream cheese and marzipan at high speed for 1 minute. Add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, whip. Add the egg yolk, vanilla extract and salt, whisk. 2. Lay the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it into a 25 cm square. Cut into 4 equal squares and lay them on a prepared baking sheet. 3. Put the marzipan mixture in the center of each square, and then 1 teaspoon of raspberry jam. 4. In a small bowl, beat the egg white with a fork, then lightly brush the dough with a brush. 5. Raise the 2 opposite corners of each square of the dough and connect them in the center so that they slightly overlap each other. Lubricate the rolls with egg whites and sprinkle with chopped almonds. 6. Bake buns until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool. 7. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cups of sugar powder and fatty cream with a fork until smooth. 8. Drizzle the chilled rolls.
