Recipe Cookies-valentines made from cornmeal

Ingredients:
  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Yellow Corn Flour - 1/2 Cups
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoonfuls
  • Unsalted butter, room temperature - 1 cup (2 sticks)
  • Granulated sugar - 3/4 Cups
  • Big egg - 1 piece
  • Extract of vanilla - 1 1/4 Teaspoons
  • Sugar powder - 1/2 cup
  • Red or pink food coloring - 1-2 drops
Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, corn flour and salt. 2. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, whip butter and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar at medium speed until creamy consistency, for about 3 minutes. Add the egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, beaten. 3. Gradually add the flour mixture and whip the mixer at low speed until smooth. 4. Pour 1/4 cup of sugar into a small bowl. Form the balls from the received test with a diameter of about 2.5 cm and roll them in sugar. 5. Lay the balls on two baking trays lined with parchment paper. Using the bottom of the glass bead to press the balls to make a cookie about 4 cm in diameter. 6. Using a heart shaped heart shape with a diameter of about 2.5 cm, squeeze out the heart on each biscuit. Do not cut it to the end! Bake cookies in the oven to the brim of golden color, about 10 minutes, turning over the baking sheets in the middle of the cooking. Allow the liver to cool completely on the counter before applying glaze. 7. In a small bowl, beat the powdered sugar with 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 3/4 teaspoon of cold water. Add food coloring and whisk. 8. Using a small spoon, spread the icing inside the printed heart on each cookie. Allow the glaze to freeze for 15 minutes.
