Recipe for Wet Cowberry

  • Lingonberry - 1 Kilogram
  • Sugar - 300 Grams
  • Water - 300 Grams

Wet lingonberry is an old dish of Russian cuisine. It has long been considered a delicacy and could decorate any dish. Correctly prepared wucked lingonberries are stored for 1-2 years. Waxed cowberry is ideally combined with meat and fish dishes, poultry and game, and it can also be added to salads and vinaigrette. Cowberry - a very useful berry, rich in vitamins, and, thanks to the presence of benzoic acid, can be stored for a very long time in fresh form. Fresh ripe cranberries to sort out, discard damaged berries and rinse under running cold water. Throw in a colander. If the cowberry is not very ripe, let it stand in a warm place for 2-3 days until it ripens. Place lingonberries in glass jars. Cook the sugar syrup in a saucepan until the sugar completely dissolves. Cool the syrup and pour the berries in the jars. Close the lid with a lid and store in a basement or other cool place.
