Recipe: Cold lemon tea (Ice Tea)

  • Tea - 2 pieces
  • Water - 2 liters
  • Sugar - 150 Grams
  • Lemon juice - 60 milliliters
  • Ice - 1 piece

Ingredients are simple, but proportions have a decisivevalue. For 2 liters of water we need 3/4 cup (150 g) of sugar, 2 ounces (60 ml) of lemon juice and two bags of black tea. Lemon juice can be freshly squeezed or from a bottle (cooked in advance). Pour the water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Throw two tea bags into the water and remove from heat. Cover and let stand for at least 1 hour. After the tea has infused, remove the sachets and add sugar, lemon juice. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves. Pour the tea into the jug and add ice cubes. Completely cool the drink (at least four hours) before serving.
