Recipe for Bilberry Jam

  • Bilberry - 1,7 Kilogram
  • Sugar - 2 Kilogram
  • Water - 2 Cups

We wash our blueberries and wait until the berriesDry. Then in some large vessel we knead blueberries with a special device for mashed potatoes (and can be hand-made by a mortar), and then we bring it to the liquid state with a blender. You can immediately knead blueberry blender, but the spray will fly throughout the kitchen :) In parallel, in a saucepan make syrup from the water with sugar. When the sugar completely dissolves in the boiling water, we lower the blueberry puree we have received into this syrup. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat for another 10-15 minutes. Do not let the jam cool, that is hot, we pour on the jars. Banks leave for a day wrapped in some blanket and inverted. Within a day, jam can be opened and tasted. According to this recipe, it turns out to be a bit thin and sour, because blueberries are not the sweetest berry. If you like sweeter - add more sugars to the syrup. Jem turns out just gorgeous.
