Recipe Gem from black currant

  • Black currant - 1 Kilogram
  • Sugar - 1,2 Kilogram
  • Water - 1/2 cup

Blackcurrant gem is prepared as followsWay: 1. For a start, carefully sort through the currant, remove the stems and leaves. Rinse and let dry. 2. In a deep vessel with a pestle we knead the currant so that the juice flows out of it. 3. Add a half cup of water to the berries and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat, stirring actively. 4. Then add sugar to the pan, stir well. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for another 25 minutes until the desired consistency. 5. Remove jam from the fire and, letting it cool, pour on jars. For half an hour we put them upside down, then we store them in a dry and cool place. Gem from black currant is ready! :)
