Recipe for Pea Gruel

Ingredients:
  • Dried peas - 320 Grams (pre-soak in the water)
  • Cream - 250 milliliters (20-22%)
  • Carrots - 100 Grams
  • Onions - 1 piece
  • Sweet pepper - 1 piece

1. First of all you need to soak the peas in warm water for the night. After that, drain the water and rinse the peas thoroughly. Put the peas in a saucepan and pour 600 ml of water, bring it all to the boil. After boiling, reduce the heat to a slow one, continue cooking for 40 minutes. 2. By this time the water will boil to half, but if it is left more, drain the desired amount. Using a blender turn the peas into porridge, add warmed cream and bring the resulting mass to a boil. Reduce heat, season with salt and continue cooking for about 10 minutes over low heat. 3. Now you can do vegetables. We clean and carefully wash the sweet pepper and carrots. Carrots three on a grater, and pepper cut into small cubes. Fry the vegetables in the olive oil until cooked. For baby food: Lightly put out the vegetables, do not fry! Serve pea porridge hot with vegetables separately, but you can mix.
