Homemade Lemon Liqueur Recipe

  • White sugar - 2 cups
  • Water - 2 Cups
  • Lemon extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Tartar - 1 1/2 teaspoons

1. In a small saucepan with a thick bottom mix sugar, water and tartar. On a low heat, heat the mixture, stirring constantly, until the sugar completely dissolves. Take care that the mixture does not boil, otherwise the taste qualities of the liquor will decrease. 2. Remove almost ready liquor from fire, add lemon essence, mix thoroughly and cool. 3. Serve the finished liqueur in high transparent glasses, decorating with mint or a slice of lemon.
