Recipe for Afghan Cookies

Ingredients:
  • Dates, pitted and chopped - 1/3 Cups
  • Boiling water - 1/2 cup
  • Flour - 1 glass
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder - 1/4 Glass
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Fat - 3/4 Glass
  • White sugar - 1/4 Glass
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Corn flakes - 2 Cups

In a small cup, cover the diced datesBoiling water and allow to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. (If necessary, add more boiling water) Drain the liquid. Mix the flour, cocoa and baking powder and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the fat with sugar until light and fluffy. Add the dates and drive in the vanilla extract. Gradually introduce dry ingredients. Add corn flakes. Tear off pieces of dough (the size of a nut). Roll into balls and put 1-1 / 2 inches apart from each other on a buttered baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C) for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on the grate.
