Recipe Spanish tortilla

Preparing a Spanish tortillaWe often cook for breakfast an omelette with the potato left over from yesterday's dinner, and does not suspect that it is preparing something very similar to the national Spanish dish - a tortilla. The difference is that we do it hastily to eat, without choking, the remnants of half-eaten food, and for the Spaniards the tortilla is an opportunity to enjoy life. Very often they serve it as a traditional snack for an aperitif - tapas. In Spain, a lot of tapas bars, where this dish is served, can also be bought in almost any supermarket. But, of course, home tortilla is much tastier, and it is prepared simply. In Spain, it is not customary to boil potatoes in large quantities, as in Russia and near abroad, so the Spaniards perceive their national omelet with potatoes not as a way of eating, but as a perfectly worthy dish, which in a company with a hamon (dried pork ham) and pan -the tomato is a gorgeous dinner. An obligatory filler for tortilla is potatoes, and Spaniards seldom add anything else in it, except perhaps onions. But we are not used to light solutions, so our omelette will be a little more complicated, but it's tastier and brighter.

Ingredients:
  • Eggs chicken 4 pcs.
  • Potatoes 4 pcs.
  • Onions 1 pc.
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Olive oil 5 tbsp. L.
  • Pepper sweet 1 pc.
  • Pepper black ground 2 pinch
  • Salt 2 pinch
Instructions
  • Step 1 To prepare the tortilla, take eggs, potatoes, olive oil, onions, garlic and spices.
  • Step 2 Peel the onion and garlic and then finely chop.
  • Step 3 Peel potatoes and cut into small cubes.
  • Step 4 Wash the sweet pepper, peel it of seeds and cut into strips.
  • Step 5 Preheat 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chopped onion until it is clear.
  • Step 6 Then add potatoes to the onions and fry for 10 more minutes.
  • Step 7 Add the garlic, it is better to put it in the oil, so that it gives its flavor as much as possible and lightly fry, then mix everything.
  • Step 8 Cook until the potatoes are ready, add salt and black ground pepper to taste.
  • Step 9 Put the potatoes on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
  • Step 10 Beat the eggs with a whisk, adding a pinch of salt.
  • Step 11 Put the potatoes in the eggs and mix well.
  • Step 12 Put the resulting mass back into the pan, if necessary, adding a little olive oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 13 Then turn the resulting omelet over and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 14 Serve the tortilla with sweet pepper.
