French toast with apples and sausage

  • Wheat bread - 6 Slices
  • Eggs - 3 pieces
  • Brown sugar - 1 st. a spoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoonfuls
  • Nutmeg - 1 Pinch
  • Filling: apples - 1 glass
  • Sausages - 240 Grams
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Brown sugar - 3 teaspoons
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - 1 Pinch
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoonfuls

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and oil the form for muffins. Using a cutter or a round shape, cut the mugs from the slices of bread, about 7.5 cm in diameter. Beat the eggs, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a medium bowl. Dip mugs from the bread in the egg mixture, shaking off the excess. Lay the slices of bread in the compartments of the muffin mold, pressing them to the surface to make a cup. Bake toast in a preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until brown. 2. While the French toast is baked, cook the filling. Cut the apples into cubes. In a medium frying pan, melt the butter, stir in the oil brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Add the apples in a mixture of sugar and fry until the apples begin to soften and caramelize. Add sausage and mix with apples. 3. When French toasts are ready, let them cool down for a few minutes, then use a knife to remove it from the mold. Fill the cups with the prepared stuffing, pour over the maple syrup and serve.
