Recipe Cakes with chocolate and meringue

  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Soda - 1/2 teaspoonfuls
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoonfuls
  • Sticks of softened butter - 2 pieces
  • Light brown sugar - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 2 pieces
  • Water - 1 st. a spoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Chocolate chips - 2 Cups

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Fill the mold with aluminum foil, making sheds at the edges, so that later it would be more convenient to remove the foil. Sprinkle the foil with oil. 2. Mix the flour, baking powder, soda and salt in a bowl, set aside. Mixer at high speed whip softened butter, 1 cup of brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add egg yolks, water, vanilla extract and beat. 3. Reduce the speed to low, add the flour mixture and beat until a homogeneous dough is obtained. Put the dough evenly into the prepared form. 4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and gently squeeze them into the dough. 5. In a clean bowl, whisk egg whites into a thick foam at medium speed. Add the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar and beat until smooth. 6. Lay the meringue on top of the chocolate and spread with a spatula. 7. Bake until golden brown, about 35-40 minutes. Allow to cool completely (2-3 hours) before removing from the mold and cutting into squares.
